The Judge Rotenberg Center in Massachusetts uses overt, extreme, repeated pain on young people diagnosed with psychiatric and other mental disabilities. Here a staff person is shown carrying various remote controls on his belt, used to activate the pain. Mother Jones investigated the Center in 2007, and Mental Disability Rights International investigated torture allegations in 2010.
