International Center for the Study of Psychiatry and Psychology (ICSPP) is a key network of dissident mental health professionals and allies who are willing to challenge abuse in the mental health system and promote alternatives. ICSPP is a sponsor group of MindFreedom.

The next annual ICSPP conference will be on Saturday and Sunday  Oct. 13-14, 2007 with a visit to Congress set for Monday, October 15, 2007. It will be at the Marriott Crystal City at Reagan Airport on 1999 Jefferson Davis Highway in Arlington, Virginia, USA. Telephone for hotel reservations is (703) 413-5500. The topic will be "The Universal Mental Health Screening and Drugging of Our Children: Dangers vs. Benefits." See ICSPP web site for more information, including call for presentations.

Tom Wittick

Thomas E. Wittick is an MFI member who named one of the first psychiatric rights movement activist groups in this era in the USA. Tom chose the name "Insane Liberation Front" for the influential group that began in Portland, Oregon, USA in 1970, and he organized along side the infamous Howie T. Harp.
