Psychiatrist Carl Hammerschlag Challenges DSM, calls for "Nobility of Weird"

MindFreedom's David Oaks interviews psychiatrist Carl Hammerschlag, who works closely with Patch Adams and Gesundhedit Institute. The interview is at the 2011 Oregon Country Fair near Veneta, Oregon. Dr. Hammerschlag supports MindFreedom's call to "boycott normal," and challenge the power of psychiatry's label bible, called the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM). The American Psychiatric Association intends to approve the DSM at its May 2012 Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, for publication in 2013.
