A Channel 4 TV company is developing a show about Mad Pride and is looking for stories.

Are You Proud To Be Mad?

Are you proud to be mad and have an extraordinary story you want to share and you live in the UK? If so we would like to hear from you. We are a TV production company developing a film for Channel 4 about being mad and being proud of it, and we are looking for people to follow their stories.  You may be an organiser of a Madhatters Tea Party, you might be someone who attends mad pride events, you may have plans to take some radical steps to change the mental health system, you may be involved in a campaign for mental health rights, or you might just be proud to be mad.

We are looking for colourful characters who actively live their lives according to the ‘mad pride’ ethos, people who are happy being mad, people who are challenging the traditional ideas of treating mental illness. You may be someone who is coming off medication or have already, or maybe you’re someone who self medicates. We want to hear about your story, your events if organise them, your plans to reduce the stigma and discrimination against mental illness.

If you are someone who has taken control of your life and are proud to talk about it, and are happy for a film crew to follow your mad pride journey we want to hear from you.

Please contact Maddie on 01273 229655 or email her maddie.bridgett@electricsky.com
