October 2006

Over a six month period in three issues, an official magazine of the American Psychiatric Association called Psychiatric Serivces held a heated debate and analysis about the politics and history of the psychiatric survivors movement.

June 2006: The original essay that started the debate mentions MindFreedom International.

August 2006: How to access the 10 reply letters that are published, including several by MindFreedom International.

October 2006: Professor Robert Emerick analyzes the debate.
