He is also director of Project Biocultures a think-tank devoted to issues around the intersection of culture, medicine,

Paula J. Caplan, Ph.D., is a clinical and research psychologist and Research Associate at Harvard University. She has written 10 books and many articles and plays related to the intersection of psychology and social justice. Her books include They Say You're Crazy: How the World's Most Powerful Psychiatrists Decide Who's Normal, and her plays include the award-winning CALL ME CRAZY, a comedy-drama with music.

Paula is coordinator of the Association for Women in Psychology's Committee on Bias in Psychiatric Diagnosis, which has a new section on the AWP website at awpsych.org about the DSM and which will have additional articles added in the future.

Bhargavi Davar, PhD, psychiatric survivor leader in India

Bhargavi Davar is a survivor of psychiatric institutions who is working in Pune, India, with a Ph. D. in the philosophy of psychiatry. Dr. Davar is an author of several books and articles critiquing the foundations of psychiatry in India. She said, "MFI has been a great source of inspiration for us in India, particularly the unique international efforts in consistent reporting on globalising psychiatry as an EMERGENCY."
