MFI letter to Highlander about MLK, IAACM & Kristina Yates

by David W. Oaks last modified 2007-08-31 23:41

Highlander is an educational center that has helped train luminaries including Martin Luther King, Jr. and Rosa Parks. MindFreedom has held two international strategy conferences there. On 1 September 2007 a thousand people are at Highlander celebrating their 75th anniversary. Among the volunteers is MindFreedom activist Kristina Yates, whose heritage lies not far from Highlander in Appalachia. Kristina intends to let celebrants know about the relevance of Highlander to MindFreedom, and the connections to MLK and his call for the IAACM.
