Texas Medication Algorithm Project (TMAP) might have a fancy name but it is a cookie-cutter assembly line approach to choose psychiatric drugs. The creation and promotion of TMAP has been heavily influenced by the pharmaceutical industry. By no coincidence, TMAP tends ot promote drug, drug, drug, drug, drug, drug, drug... starting with some of the most expensive drugs first.
