Ray Sandford One Year Later: "Absolutely okay without the electroshock."

One year ago today, on 15 April 2009, Ray Sandford of Minnesota received what we at MindFreedom hope will be his last involuntary electroshock over his expressed wishes, on an outpatient basis. I attended a meeting about an individual's forced psychiatric drugging

Yesterday, I was invited by a psychiatric survivor to attend her meeting with mental health workers about her complaint that she was being forcibly drugged on an outpatient basis. We had some good conclusions from the meeting... now the evidence will be in the results. read more...

Lynne Salvi, psychiatric survivor

Lynne M. Salvi [1963 - 2011] was an activist with MindFreedom Lane County. She experienced 24 years of human rights violations in the mental health system. Lynne said, "Since finding MindFreedom and becoming a member, my life changed dramatically. I found many people who understand through experience without words. MindFreedom feels like a reunion of family I never knew before. This connection and encouragement give me the courage to speak out.
