Why Zero Gateway:

Deaths like this are a symptom of the powerlessness of Oregonians with psychiatric diagnoses.

MindFreedom Oregon continues to ask the State of Oregon "Why Zero?" Why, even though budget cuts were not as bad as feared, why is Oregon one of the very few USA states to provide zero funding for the statewide voice of mental health consumers and psychiatric survivors?

Dave Romprey remembered!

30 July 2009 is the one year anniversary of the death of mental health consumer/psychiatric survivor advocate Dave Romprey. The next day will be a dedication of a bench, planting of a tree, and reception to remember him.

Go OCSC! State-wide coalition more than one year old!

The big news this past year in Oregon is that there is finally a great state-wide, diverse, inclusive coalition uniting more than a dozen groups run by mental health consumers and psychiatric survivors.

So far there's no funding, but that hasn't stopped the Oregon Consumer/Survivor Coalition (OCSC for short).
