David’s commitment to fight “normality,” his desire to help reform mental health services, his empowering others to do the same, and his sense of the absurd… all show when he speaks.
He turned a potentially devastating personal event (forced psychiatric “treatment”) into a good cause with the aim of sparing others a similar fate.
