Travel Center for Conference Registrants

If you have already registered for the Creative Revolution Conference/Retreat, PLEASE FILL OUT THE GROUND TRAVEL COORDINATION FORM. Also, please check this Travel Center periodically for updates.

[Updated 18 May 2007]

Wisdom House is a beautiful retreat center located in the countryside by Litchfield, Connecticut. A rural area takes a little more effort to get to, but it is worth it. The MindFreedom Conference Committee wants your experience to be enlightening and positive from arrival to departure. Like anything, this takes mutual support!

Basic Travel Information
Here you will find location, directions and tips for vehicle drivers, air travelers, train riders and more.

Why Coordinate Your Travel?
We encourage all participants who can to please help with carpooling, ride sharing or volunteering with transportation. You lower greenhouse gas emissions. Plus you can help lower ground transport costs for those arriving by air or train via Hartford or Waterbury.

Travel Coordination Form

IMPORTANT: If you have registered for the Creative Revolution conference/retreat, and can either help with ground transport or you need to coordinate your transport, we strongly encourage you to inform us of your travel arrangements as soon as possible with this form.

Caitlin is a survivor of maltreatment of Adelphi University's student counseling center. A young adult new to the movement, Caitlin hopes to continue to her involvement in the psychiatric survivor movement and bring more attention to an issue that is all too prevalent and all too ignored. Also an actress and a poet, Caitlin hopes to use the medium of performing arts to spread awareness, and to reach fellow survivors. She says, “Many thanks to the support I have received so far from the cool crowd that is MindFreedom!" Caitlin is speaking at the MindFreedom International peaceful protest of the American Psychiatric Association in Philadelphia, OccupyAPA 2012.
